Meet Tiffany Schmier - car enthusiast and ºÚÁÏÍø's Senior Associate Director of Advising for the Student and Academic Success unit. Tiffany's team helps students learn more about the many amazing majors, minors, and resources available at ºÚÁÏÍø.  She enjoys the community we have built on campus as well as working with individuals who have such a great passion about a wide variety of subjects.

What inspires or empowers you?
The power of the written word. I was a newspaper reporter in a past life and there are so many stories out there to tell and when it is done well it can be captivating.

Tell us about a woman who’s been a mentor to you.
Dr. Marta Meana who was my Dean during the time I worked in the Honors College. She always pushed me to go the extra mile (it is never crowded there) and to try new things.

Who is an unsung hero at ºÚÁÏÍø?
The FAST clinic staff. They literally saved my life in 2021 and I will never stop thanking them.

Tell us something that might surprise us about you.
I am really into cars and I completed Automotive Maintenance I at CSN even though I had to push the 75lb toolbox!

What trait do you most like about yourself?
I am very authentic and make people feel at ease.

If you could learn to master one thing, what would it be?
Making Gluten Free Sourdough bread..I have made a lot of rocks…
