Analysis of the nature and problems of, and approaches to, management planning, organizing, decision making, and controlling through the study of recent relevant literature and selected cases.

Notes

This course explores the impact of diversity on workplace dynamics and decision-making while integrating key interpersonal skills essential for effective communication and teamwork. Students will examine psychological, sociological, and organizational aspects of diversity, including cultural identity, bias, fairness, and ethical considerations. The course also emphasizes practical strategies for inclusive leadership, conflict resolution, and emotional intelligence, preparing students to navigate diverse work environments effectively. Additional topics include stereotyping, gender and racial dynamics, workplace relationships, and global trends shaping diversity initiatives.
Students will need access to the textbook's e-book access code.
In addition to the materials listed on the bookstore webpage, this course requires a Mac or PC computer, a webcam, a microphone, and Internet connection for successfully completing this class. The webcam and microphone may be built into your computer or may be an external camera and microphone. The course may also use the LockDown Browser with Monitor for online exams. While there is no cost to you to use the software, you are required to have a webcam. Chromebooks are not compatible for this class.
