Andrew Murtishaw (Psychology) recently won first place in a graduate student research competition sponsored by the Southern Nevada section of the American Chemical Society for his research titled, "Chronic LPS-induced Inflammatory Response in a Diabetic Model of Alzheimer's Disease." His research in the Behavioral Neuroscience Laboratory of professor Jefferson Kinney (Psychology) focuses on risk factors of Alzheimer's disease. The research competition was held at Nevada State College in November.
