Patricia Heisser Metoyer (Psychology and Interdisciplinary Studies) has been nominated for a National Women’s Studies Association Women’s Center Award. Established in 1977, the National Women's Studies Association promotes and supports the production and dissemination of knowledge about women and gender through teaching, learning, research, and service in academic and other settings. NWSA recognizes that women's studies are broader than what happens in the classroom. Through her scholarship and teaching for more than 30 years, Heisser Metoyer has actively pursued knowledge to promote a just world in which all students can develop to their fullest potential. The association has more than 2,000 individual and 350 institutional members working in varied specialties across the United States and around the world.
