John Bowers (English) had his chapter "Speaking Images? Iconographic Criticism and Chaucerian Ekphrasis" published in the collection The Art of Vision: Ekphrasis in Medieval Literature and Culture in the series New Studies in Medieval Culture from Ohio State University Press. The study grew out of a seminar at the Max Planck Institute in Berlin funded by the German Research Association.
