Qurrat-ul-Ain Aziz, Kavita Batra, Sanna Fatima, Jared Splinter, Amber Laurel Champion, Ajay M. Kumar, and Kenneth E. Izuora (all Medicine) recently published a study titled, “,” in Endocrine Practice. A key strength of this study is its focus on a unique and high-risk population such as patients with type 2 diabetes immediately following kidney transplantation, who often experience significant glycemic variability due to post-operative stress, high-dose steroids, and immunosuppressive therapy. The study provides valuable real-world evidence supporting the clinical accuracy and safety of continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) in this setting, demonstrating that nearly all CGM readings fell within clinically acceptable ranges.
