Michael Pfurr (International Student and Scholar Compliance) has received a Fulbright International Education Administrator Award to South Korea for the 2025-2026 academic year from the U.S. Department of State and the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board. This prestigious award provides international education professionals in the United States an opportunity to engage in an intensive seminar to learn about South Korea’s higher education system and establish networks with other U.S. and international colleagues.
This award marks Pfurr’s second Fulbright honor tied to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. A decade after receiving their first award as a standout ºÚÁÏÍø undergraduate, Pfurr will once again be a representative of ºÚÁÏÍø and the United States of America. In June, Pfurr will spend two weeks visiting colleges and universities in South Korea to learn about common practices in South Korea’s education system. He will meet with relevant personnel in order to become acquainted with the philosophy, organization, and management of Korean higher and international education programs as well as partaking in cultural excursions.
