Noehealani Bareng-Antolin (Medicine) presented at the 2023 Driving School Association of the Americas International Conference on October 18 in Las Vegas, Nevada on, "Traffic Safety Research at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine." Led by Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine Associate Dean for Research Dr. Deborah Kuhls, the traffic safety research group aims to identify and examine the root cause of crashes, including associated behaviors and demographics to identify targeted interventions. Through utilizing multiple databases including hospital data, the research team attempts to approximate the impact of traffic crashes on human life in terms of death, injury, healthcare resources and other outcomes.
