Stephen Caplan (Music) wrote an article “Promising Research,” which has been published in the most recent edition of The Double Reed. This is the first article of a new recurring column, “Health Matters,” that Dr. Caplan will be contributing to the journal, which explores health issues relevant to double reed players. The Double Reed is the quarterly print journal of the International Double Reed Society (IDRS). It includes helpful articles by top artists and educators, oboe and bassoon pedagogy, news of interest, and ads for international double reed and instrument suppliers. IDRS is an organization made up of more than 2,700 professional double reed players, amateurs, instrument manufacturers, and enthusiasts from around the world.
