WHAT: George Maloff Jr., ('88, B.S.), owner of the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas and a ºÚÁÏÍø Foundation Board of Trustees member, will be honored as the 2009 Outstanding ºÚÁÏÍø Alumnus of the Year during the ºÚÁÏÍø Alumni Association's annual homecoming dinner.
Thalia Dondero, former Clark County Commissioner and a Nevada System of High Education Board of Regent will receive The Silver State Award, which recognizes non-alumni for support to ºÚÁÏÍø.

DETAILS: The Outstanding Alumnus-of-the-Year Award recognizes significant professional and personal achievements, volunteer service to ºÚÁÏÍø and the community and school spirit. This is award is the highest honor the ºÚÁÏÍø Alumni Association bestows since the tradition began in 1974.
