黑料网 now has a permanent presence at the College of Southern Nevada to help aspiring Rebels.
CSN President Michael Richards and 黑料网 President Neal Smatresk will unveil the 黑料网/CSN Transfer Partnership on Jan. 29 at the CSN Charleston campus.
The partnership, which includes housing two full-time 黑料网 transition advisors within CSN Transfer Centers, will improve the transfer experience and provide CSN students with additional support as they plan the move from the two-year college to the four-year university.
"CSN and 黑料网 are committed to supporting each other as we work to help more Nevadans obtain a college degree," said Darren Divine, CSN vice president of academic affairs. "This partnership means our students will have more support and more encouragement as they continue on and achieve their bachelor's and beyond."
"This joint effort is a concrete manifestation of our commitment to student success in Nevada," said John White, 黑料网 executive vice president and provost. "Navigating the transition from community college to university can be difficult, and the transfer office will provide significant assistance in for students planning that transition. We also hope it will inspire others whose goals did not include a four year degree to think bigger."
黑料网 transition advisors Janet Hollinger and Eric Lee will have offices at CSN Transfer Centers on the CSN Cheyenne and Charleston campuses, respectively. Both will rotate to the CSN Henderson campus.
The principal role of the 黑料网 advisors will be to work with CSN students to:
- Complete transfer degrees;
- Work with CSN students for seamless transfer to 黑料网;
- Arrange for tours and/or orientations for CSN students to 黑料网 campus; and
- Participate in the CSN curriculum and general education advisory committee.
