A paltry 19 percent. This is one reason other states are weathering the economic crisis better than Nevada. They are tapping into their human capital to fuel recovery, spur innovation, and attract entrepreneurs and fast-growing companies. But there's a larger story to tell, and these ºÚÁÏÍø graduates and students are here to sell it.
They believe the power of higher education is its ability to create opportunity. A way to break through the glass ceiling. To escape an hourly job and the cycle of layoffs their parents experienced. To fulfill their desire to serve. They’ll say that education gave them value. But it also makes them invaluable to our state.
