Whether it’s a playground or an office building, those responsible for the design have to consider the needs of different groups of people, for instance, those with disabilities, seniors, or children, just to name a few; and that might not be easy. Dale Melgaard (Film) has received the"Best Short Script award for "The Phatman"  from the International Writer's Journey Film Festival, Istanbul.
The ºÚÁÏÍø Jazz Ensemble I received Graduate College Large Jazz Ensemble Outstanding Performance in the 2025 Downbeat Magazine Student Music Awards. In addition, one of our students in the ºÚÁÏÍø Joe Williams Jazz Scholarship Quartet, bassist Ed Lacala, received a Graduate College Outstanding Soloist Award.
