Students, arborists-in-training and 黑料网 staff dug holes circling a dog park Friday morning as part of the university鈥檚 鈥淯rban Forestry Initiative.鈥 The program is using a $5 million federal grant to plant trees across the Las Vegas Valley, targeting communities with below average tree cover. Our snowpack gains this winter were pretty dismal, and the National Weather Service recently even lowered their projections for Lake Powell, whose upstream levels affect Lake Mead's.
