More than 100 high-achieving students from Clark and Rancho high schools will hear from ºÚÁÏÍø faculty, alumni and local scientists who have made a career out of mathematics about the myriad career options in the field. They'll also learn a thing or two about the magic of math and what makes it so interesting and diverse.

- ºÚÁÏÍø math alum Avnish Bhatnagar, senior technical solutions engineer with Google
- ºÚÁÏÍø math alum Nathan Rowe, engineer with Full Spectrum Laser 3D
- Eric Machorro, mathematician with National Security Technologies (NSTeC)
- Jessica Jaynes, assistant professor of statistics at ºÚÁÏÍø
- William Speer, director of the ºÚÁÏÍø Math Learning Center
- Travis Olson, assistant professor in the ºÚÁÏÍø College of Education
About the College of Sciences
The College of Sciences offers bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees to approximately 3,000 students in various areas. The college has more than 100 full-time faculty, and offers programs and conducts research in life sciences, chemistry and biochemistry, geoscience, mathematical sciences, physics and astronomy, and water management. It also offers guidance for students seeking professional careers in the medical, dental, chiropractic, and pharmaceutical fields.
About the Department of Mathematical Sciences
The Department of Mathematical Sciences offers bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees to its students, including joint graduate programs with electrical engineering and economics. There are approximately 150 undergraduate majors and 71 graduate students in the master's and doctoral programs. There are 29 full-time faculty in the department, 42 graduate assistants, and 34 (varies from semester to semester) part-time instructors.
