Marina Garber-Colacicchi (World Languages and Cultures) published a book of poetry, Homelandless, (Publishing House of Oleg Fedorov, Kiev, Ukraine, June 2022).
She also published a selection of poetry about war in Ukraine in The New World magazine (Toronto, Canada).
Additionally, she participated in the No War: Poets Against the War 鈥
Elena Farfel, Karl Kingsley (both Dental) and recent DMD graduates Cody Buhler, Scott Parker and Haley Whalen recently published "Caffeic Acid Phenethyl Ester (CAPE) Effects on Dental Pulp Stem Cell (DPSC) Proliferation and Viability" in the journal EC Dental Science.
Lisa Nicholas (Nursing) successfully defended her doctoral dissertation to earn her ED.D from the University of Saint Augustine for Health Sciences. Her dissertation topic was "Foundational Skills before Clinical: Building Early Confidence in Novice Nursing Students."
Asma Awan (Social & Behavioral Health) has been selected as a Society for Public Health Education (SOPHE) Leaders in Equity & Diversity (LEAD) Fellow.
The LEAD Fellowship creates a pathway to increase diversity in health education leadership among SOPHE's membership. Fellows will learn best practices in leadership鈥
Jinyoung Kim (Nursing) received the COBRE Pilot Project Award by NIH National Institute of General Medical Service for her study, "Tolerance to Shift Work and Its Potential Impact on Cognitive Function." Gregory P. Brown, Kavita Batra, Suzie S. Hong, Robert Sottile, Raveena Bakhru, and Emily Dorin (all Medicine) published an article, "Therapists鈥 Observations in Reduction of Unpleasant Emotions Following Advanced Integrative Therapy Interventions" in the Energy Psychology journal.
Paul Thomas Clements, Aaron Bellow, Jr., Cheryl Maes, and Reimund Serafica (all Nursing) were published in the summer 2022 edition of the Nevada State Board of Nursing Magazine Nursing News.
