Physical Fitness
Army ROTC conducts mandatory physical fitness training Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 0630 – 0730. Longer ruck marches may be held on Fridays as part of a leadership lab.
Army Fitness Test
The Army Fitness Test (AFT) is now the Army's only physical fitness test. All Soldiers are required to score a minimum of 60 points in each of the 5 events, with higher standards for those in combat arms roles.
If you are an Active Duty or Active Guard Reserve Soldier, you will take the AFT twice a year. As an Army Reserve or Army National Guard Soldier, you will take it once a year. While participating in the Army ROTC Program, Cadets will take the AFT once an academic semester.
As military operations become more complex, it's vital that every soldier is physically and mentally prepared to succeed. The AFT will help you achieve peak physical fitness and mental endurance under pressure.
Designed with the latest exercise science and physical training insights, the AFT empowers Soldiers to complete a variety of combat tasks. The test is comprised of five fitness components which improve everything from muscular strength and power to flexibility and coordination.
Classes
As an ROTC student you will attend both your MIL courses as well as ºÚÁÏÍø classes required for the completion of your degree.

Fall semester field training exercises are held locally within the Las Vegas valley and are held Friday – Sunday.
Spring semester field training exercises are typically held outside of the Las Vegas area with other ROTC programs from Thursday – Sunday.
