Ask Your Advisor
Establishing a relationship with an academic advisor ensures that you are meeting your specific degree requirements and accomplishing your personal academic goals.
Welcome to academic advising. ºÚÁÏÍø currently has 12 academic advising centers on campus each with their own unique approach to working with their majors, as well as off-campus advising available at the College of Southern Nevada and Nellis Air Force Base. The executive director of academic advising at ºÚÁÏÍø is responsible for the institutional objectives and general leadership of the academic advising centers on campus, as well as the promotion of the value and progress of academic advising at ºÚÁÏÍø.
As a ºÚÁÏÍø student, academic advising is required for all new students. Incoming freshmen will meet with their First-Year Advisor at New Student Orientation and incoming transfer students are required to schedule an individual advising appointment with their academic advising center. Establishing a relationship with an academic advisor ensures that you are meeting your specific degree requirements and accomplishing your personal academic goals. Have a look around and find answers to your questions. And remember, when in doubt, ask your academic advisor!
Advising Centers
Ready to meet with your academic advisor? Log into your Rebel Success Hub to connect with your appropriate advising center (according to your declared major). We encourage you to schedule an appointment with an academic advisor and/or on quick questions by submitting an A.S.K. queue question or service case. Follow these steps to learn how to schedule your appointment online.
Note: New incoming students with an advising hold will not be able to use Rebel Success Hub to schedule their first advising appointment. Please call the advising center instead.
Each center is equipped with a staff of academic advisors who are eager to meet with students about their academic goals. Please be sure to prepare any questions that you may have about degree requirements, involvement on campus, and any other areas that will help you succeed at ºÚÁÏÍø!
For additional information about your major, visit the degrees directory page.
