Dr. Annabel Barber (Medicine) has been named vice chair of the best practices work group of the Board of Governors for the American College of Surgeons. She also recently co-authored two manuscripts, one of which has been accepted for publication in the Journal of the American College of Surgeons. The other manuscript is currently under review.
Jennifer Vanderlaan (Nursing) co-authored a new publication, "Early Perinatal Workforce Adaptations to the COVID-19 Pandemic." The study focused on early pandemic response and ways to improve readiness.
Ann Vuong (Epidemiology & Biostatistics) co-published a paper, "Gestational Exposure to Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers and Social Skills and Problem Behaviors in Adolescents: The HOME Study" in the journal Environment International.
The study investigates associations between gestational exposure to PBDEs and social skills and problem鈥
Dr. Neamat Hassan (Dental) gave a virtual presentation, 鈥淩ole of the Additive Technology (3D printing) Materials in Advancing Maxillofacial Prosthodontics,鈥 to graduate students in the department of maxillofacial prosthodontics at Japan's Tokyo Medical and Dental University.
Dr. Amanda Jo Okundaye (Dental) contributed content to chapters 14 and 16 in the third edition of Wright's Behavior Management in Dentistry for Children.
Drs. Neamat Hassan and Hassan Ziada (both Dental) co-authored 鈥淧erspectives of Orthodontists of the Diagnosis, Prevention, and Management of White Spot Lesions: A Qualitative Study,鈥 which appeared Jan. 29 in the Journal of International Society of Preventive and Community Dentistry.
Christina Miskey (Libraries) was invited to present at the ORCID US Community's 7th Showcase webinar. Her presentation focused on the status of ORCID outreach, education, and integration efforts on the 黑料网 campus over the past two years.
Caren Royce Yap (Marketing and International Business) was recognized as an AAPI (Asian American and Pacific Islander) trailblazer in the Las Vegas community by the Asian Community Development Council (ACDC) at its first InspirAsian Gala, which took place in December. Yap, who serves as CSUN president, was the youngest of the eight trailblazers鈥
Dr. Eve Chung (Dental) and Xue "Cher" Xing (Teaching and Learning) co-authored an article, 鈥淔lip Your CTE Classroom: A Dental Education Model,鈥 that appeared Jan. 10 in the Association for Career & Technical Education online publication.
